You’ve lost your sense of direction.
Nothing seems sure. White-knuckling your way forward is a steady drain, and you’re almost empty. Life has become a chore — something to survive, not enjoy. Your relationships, your work, your health, even the simplest day-to-day tasks feel like you’re chasing after the wind.
Life lacks purpose & meaning.
And you’re hardest on yourself. This is not only affecting how you see life, but how you see yourself.
“I should be able to just get over this.”
“It seems so easy for everyone else, it must be me.”
“The world is getting bigger, but my life feels like it’s getting smaller.”
So you try harder, you fake it, you seek unhealthy ways to avoid the worry and negative thoughts. But each cycle takes you deeper into fear and hopelessness.
how we’ll work on this together:
Depression is repressed passion, a voice that needs to be heard. What if you could find yours?
Anxiety is fear of the unknown, distressing questions that want answers. What if you could find them?
Anxiety and depression are two distinct issues, but they often work together and feed each other. And they share some things in common that can be addressed through counseling:
Significant emotional distress
Negative thought patterns
Conflicting beliefs and values
Physical symptoms, such as sleep disturbances, changes in appetite, fatigue, and restlessness.
Difficulty concentrating, making decisions, engaging in social and occupational activities, or other disruptions to daily living.
But, despite these commonalities, it's important to recognize that anxiety and depression each have their own unique set of symptoms and treatment strategies. And you are a unique person as well. So, we’ll work together to create a plan tailored for you.

Common questions about counseling for anxiety & depression:
-
I am trained in a variety of methods which I integrate according to the needs of individual clients. The foundational method I draw on for anxiety and depression is called Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy (REBT) which focuses on the thoughts, beliefs and emotions that inform our choices and behaviors.
I also integrate a variety of evidence-based therapies tailored to individual needs. Some of these include:— Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT): Teaches acceptance of difficult emotions and focuses on living a meaningful life despite them.
— Interpersonal Therapy (IPT): Addresses relationship issues that may be impacting mood.
— Positive Psychology and Mindfulness-Based Therapies: Train attention and awareness to manage stress and improve emotional regulation.
We can discuss your specific needs and goals to recommend the most suitable therapy approach.
